Cheney has deep understanding of politics and security. But he has a heart condition, and the MSM loathes him. On top he lacks GW's charisma to overcome the MSM. Don't underestimate the power of the MSM.
The MSM got sKerry w/in 3 percentage points of W in '04. My guess is that it was their high-water mark. Cheney is beloved by the base. Very many 'Icans would be eager to turn out to vote for Dick in '08, especially with sHrillary as his opponent and Condi as his running mate.
So did Clinton, he just didn't disclose his medical records. PLUS Clintons heart was/is black.
I totally disagree. Cheney has a grandfather appeal that resonates with everyone. He would probably be a more conservative President than Bush too, and would be better at articulating policy.
