"Every time I hear of a "Beretta", I think of the James Bond novels. The Beretta was 007's weapon of choice."

Think you're mistaken....I'm pretty sure it was a Walther PPK. The Beretta 92 (several suffixes are made) as shown in the pix is a "largeish" double-stacked magazine 9mm, capacity 15 or so rounds. Although all of these companies made all sorts of guns in any caliber imaginable, JB's gun was a much smaller weapon, chambered, I think, in either .380 or .32. Single stacked 6/7 shot compact deal.

That's it, not gonna allow myself to pretend I'm any kind of gun expert in THIS forum!

Although it has been many years since I read the novels and saw the early movies, I believe you are both correct with the Walther replacing the .25 Baretta.

You're half right, my friend, and kudos to you for your knowledge of the Bond books! In the beginning, Bond preferred the Beretta, but several novels into the series, "M" made him give it up (due to its unreliability) and forced him to switch to the Walther PPK. Bond was pi**ed.

You're dead-on right... Bond's preferred sidearm *is* the Walther PPK...
