Iran’s Khamenei says U.S. defeated in Iraq, Middle East
Iran Focus ^ | January 9, 2006

Posted on 01/09/2006 12:27:37 PM PST by jmc1969

Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei said on Monday that the United States had faced defeat in its strategies in Iraq and the Middle East.

Speaking in Iran’s holy city of Qom, Khamenei also said that Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon, who had been hospitalised after suffering from a stroke, had been “destroyed” by continued Palestinian resistance against Israel, in comments carried by state television and news agencies.

“America has been politically defeated in Iraq as well as in Palestine since the butcher of the Palestinians who hoped to crack down on the intifada within three months was destroyed”, he said.

The Iranian Supreme Leader also said that the U.S. was pressuring its regional ally Syria as well as Lebanon because its “grand” Middle East Road Map had “been met with failure”.

“If the people and leaders of Syria and Lebanon exercise vigilance, the U.S.’s conspiracies will be thwarted”, Khamenei said.

He went on to say that all the various social movements of the world, including socialism, Marxism, nationalism, and Western liberal democracy, had lost their appeal for the people of the world and Islam, or religious democracy, was the sole alternative. “The eyes of the world are now on [Iran’s] Islamic revolution and the slogans and way of thinking of this revolution”.

He's just repeating what Harry Reid and Teddy Kennedy told him.

Word to your mullah. The libs in the country should be proud.

But what he says is an untruth, and if choses to believe that's fine, it doesnt make it fact. Something every Islamofacist has in common with Democrats.

Word to your mullah.

LOL!

But what he says is an untruth, and if choses to believe that's fine, it doesnt make it fact.

So I guess that means they can all lay down their arms, since we're defeated, right?

Wouldn't it be a kick in the ass if Sharon gets better.

Then he can say that God willed him to get better to defeat the Islamonazis and the plague they are spreading through the world.

Whoops...I initally thought this was a story on Howie Dean...it's unbelieveable how Iran's mullahs and the Dems have the same talking points!...Strike that...it is TOTALLY believeable that the Dems, the party of J F'ing Kerry, would speak the same message as our enemies.

... Iran’s holy city of Qom ...

There's that 'holy city' adjective again. Is every city in the Middle East a 'holy city'? Are there any unholy ones? Come on; there's got to be a Detroit or Chicago or Philly of the M. E. At least give me a Pittsburgh equivalent.
