Yesterday, Shumer was on Meet the Press. Within the same breath, Shumer used the word 'extreme' twice in talking about Alito.

Hatch did an excellent job at promoting OUR constitution. What a sad and sorry state our country is in when we have PROMOTE our own constitution. The remarks made by Leahy and Kennedy show this. I am totally tired of hearing these Senators pontificating and lecturing about laws that have been overturned in the last 15 years by the SCOTUS. Duh! It's been a liberal court and it's their guys and guyettes doing the overruling. I find it interesting that none have addressed the Keho decision.

Okay here we go.. Sen Sessions for the fist time in the confirmation hearings has used the term SUPER DUPER.... I knew this was coming.. watch out for Sen Specter (and others) to suggest that Roe should be granted some sort of special standing in Judicial Precedent.. and attempt to the define precedent as being "SUPER" "SUPER DUPER" or "SUPER DUPER DUPER"

If Schumer represents the best the DEMs can bring, Alito will do just fine. On the one hand, Schumer says a SCOTUS justice makes decision (opening sentences) that all Americans must abide by and that no other branch can reverse, later on he asks rhetorically whether Alito will respect the power of Congress to make decisions.
