My wife bought Sirius pre-Howard and not because of Howard 2 Christmases ago. Overall, it's the best Christmas gift I've received since Strat-O-Matic baseball when I was nine.
Losing Fox news has dimmed my liking of it, but it's a great deal if you have to drive a lot.
XM with Fox News and Fox Talk is supposed to be pretty good, and I might switch to it...or get it and keep Sirius.

Howard has been horrible and gone down hill, both in content and his ratings. since he got the big head over his movie, canned(because he is a cheap bastard) Jackie Martling, and left his wife.
Stern is so 20th Century.
I heard Sirius had more football than XM so it was Sirus for my husband for Christmas. He loves it and he'll never listen to Stern.
I tuned in and found that he was asking the question "I wonder what black chicks smell like 'down there'....probably like watermelon".
That's all I need to know about his "talents".

I know the newspaper model is that subscriptions are supposed to pay for the production and advertising is the gravy but we're in new territory now with the old MSM products crumbling.
After Rush's 5-year contract is done, if XM wants to really establish itself, it should hire Rush for a Billion. BUt, I suspect both XM and Sirius is permeated with liberal corporate middle-management suck-ups who will nix any thought of it.
I used to think Howard Stern was a complete dick. I'd turn on his E show and hated all the T&A parading around. I couldn't understand how he'd wrangle all these dumb broads into taking off their clothes. Then I listened to his show...for more than 30 seconds. He turned out to not be as piggish as I thought. And those dumb broads are just that...dumb and willing to do whatever to get on TV.
I learned the E show is just a small part of what took place during a 4 hour show and it is mostly T&A for all the perverted middle aged men that are his fans. The rest of the show is pretty funny however, and I am a fan.
