The west coast is predominately "blue" states, however, there are minor fractions that side with the "red" states.
Not too long ago, a proposal was entertained to split WA state in half with the east side becoming the conservative side. And, in CA, San Diego County is conservative...but the crackpots are moving in and taking over. If the Copley press doesn't cave, I think San Diego will remain conservative.
