Thanks Quantim, I've seen these Riedel glasses and I don't care for them all that much.

I still like my big stemware glasses from World Market for about $6.99 each. They're big and thin and somewhat "elegant" and at $6.99 I can afford to break them (which clumsy as I am, I do frequently) without feeling too guilty or giving myself a feeling of financial trauma.

I like having a lot of space for the wine to slosh around in. It just seems better and more fun.

Breakage was such a problem at our home that I bought a case of $1.00 stemware from a discount kitchen store. That was a mistake because when they break, shrapnel goes into places that are hazardous to my health offsetting any good of consuming wine...
