I hasten to remind you that NH is NOT the "free" state we tend to idealize. This state went Kerry in 2004 and still has the tendency to vote Democratic.

Compared to Vermont (Where I am from), it is a paradise of freedom. Over the years, a number of freedom loving Vermonters have left the state for the greener pastures of NH. I have pondered making the move myself. As for the vote "for" Kerry, it was really a vote against Bush. New Hampshire has a strong anti-Bush sentiment, which is not necessarily a pro Democrat leaning.

We sure had a lot of busloads of Democrats with Mass. license plates in the last election.
