Fox hires lobbyist for U.S.

MEXICO CITY -- President Vicente Fox has rehired the Texas public relations man and GOP political consultant who quietly helped engineer his election victory in 2000. This time, Fox wants Rob Allyn & Co. to put the brakes on growing anti-immigration, anti-Mexican sentiment in the United States.

-- snip --

After the July election, Allyn told the Dallas Morning News he hid his work for Fox because he didn't want to be a political liability. Mexicans are sensitive to foreign interference, especially involving the United States.

Mexicans sensitive to foreign interference?

Hmmmm. I'm sensitive about Mexican interference in U.S. national security. Allyn should be tossed in Gitmo for aiding and abetting a hostile foreign nation. At a minimum, he should forfeit his citizenship and be deported to his beloved Mexico.

We are losing the war to Mexico.

This joker is not the only traitor.

Yeah, let's hire someone to make the American people think it's a good thing for people to come in undocumented, get free health care, free food, free education and then send 85% of their paycheck back here to Mexico. All we need is a good PR firm. Maybe some subliminal advertising to boot!

I don't think it's necessarily anti-Mexican sentiment. Perhaps it's just a natural reaction to the antipathy that the Mexican government has shown toward the United States over the years. A good example would be the Mexican government's guide on how to enter the US illegally.

Why does it upset the Mexican government so much that the US might actually start enforcing its immigration laws and borders?

This clown was on with John and Ken in Los Angeles. They were tearing him apart, and he hung up on them.

Nothing like a nifty flash animation website to hide your allegiance to a hostile foreign government.

Every time he appears somewhere, someone should ask if he's a Registered Foreign Agent under the FARA. And, ask those newspapers that have covered him to ask that too.

Give Fox credit for knowing how our system of government works.

First, I hope Allyn & Co. understands that it is illegal to funnel foreign contributions into political campaigns. I look for them to haul out those tired old strategies of pointing dirty fingers and yelling "racism" or "xenophobia". But I think it's going to backfire big-time.

The sad thing is that closing the borders for national security gets stereotyped by the fringe elements who want it done on racial/ethnic grounds. Recommend closing the borders to prevent terrorism and one gets lumped in with Pat Buchanan...a man who regularly laments that immigrants aren't from white Euro stock these days.

Nope. This guy is a Republican. The GOP is not an ideology, it is a party. The GOP is all for making illegals legal. This guy is party line on illegal immigration. At this point RINO should be a compliment.

Why does he need to hire a lobbyist? His compadre is inthe White House? Or is he worried that Congress will buck the President?
