I don't drink much Coke either, but here in Atlanta we use the term "Coke" as a generic term for all carbonated drinks.
That's because Coke is HQd here in Atlanta.
For instance, I might as my wife if she wants a Coke; If she says yes, I ask, "what kind". Then she'll say something ridiculous like, "Pepsi".
BBQ here in the US is a relative word. There are as many varieties of BBQ and chili as there are people.
In my opinion, the best is smoked with a light vinegar baste, like they do where my wife is from (Greensboro, N.C.).
Most people in the Atlanta area like a "ketchuppy" type of sauce. I used to prefer that until I bought some in NC at a fire station fund-raiser.
After trying it, all I can say is "I'll never be the same".
