That said...Alexei's destiny is still a mystery, although it shouldn't be all that hard to clear it up. I know a family that lived within a square kilometer of Alexei as he grew up. The grandfather, who was Alexei's age, was apparently killed by the Soviets. Specific information on the grave was given to me. Ain't a bad lead to take an hour or two to follow up on. Not yet enough for me to fly to Siberia of course. But a few hours on the Internet? Entertaining at least.
