Google Mocks Christ on Christmas Eve

While trying to find a nativity image for my last post before Christmas, I did an search for "baby jesus" on Google.
This is the result.
Notice that the top search result is for a sex toy that mocks Jesus.
Other results on this search results page have more link traffic.
A quick review of page's code shows no HTML meta information that should give it a favorable ranking.
The page itself has a raw relevance ranking (search word divided by total words) of less than five percent.
The only conclusion I can draw is that this page position ranking was done manually by a Google staffer.
Google's message to the Faithful seems obvious:
"Merry Christmas, a******s."

I take that back...the ugly one still shows up. If I'm not mistaken, they number of hits a site gets ups its ranking in the search engine.

Well, its not google that is "mocking" him, it was done the same way people made that George Bush website show up when you typed in "complete failure" (or somethign like that).

Google has been mocking baby Jesus for a year or so. You just noticed it.
The blasphemous sex toy site has the most links to it, so Google automatically picked it up.
Don't blame Google. Blame the freaks who made all the links, and of course the sex toy outfit itself for existing.

Google runs searches without any human input. There's no conspiracy here.

Do you agree with...
"a raw relevance ranking (search word divided by total words) of less than five percent."

(What!? Read or learn something? Why would anyone do that, when they can just go on being stupid)
It is a search engine for crying out loud. This author is grasping for some straws.

Though what you say is troubling, it has nothing to do with google. It has to do with the people that add there sites to the search engine itself. I could run a porn site and buy keywords that have to do with electronics and computers. I could buy the keyword "Free computers" and have it go to some porn site. Google isnt the problem, its the idiots that buy the keywords. I could buy the domain freecomputers.com and buy the keywords "free computers". Once the person clicks on it, i can have them redirected anywhere. Its sad, but people are idiots. Its not googles fault.

It is a search engine for crying out loud. This author is grasping for some straws. Garbage. Google is one of the most liberal biased, anti-conservative, Bush hating search engines I have ever used.
The Bush bashing garbage I see on Google that is posted as "News" is beyond astounding. Google is jus pathetic in it's liberal bias.

The fact that you're computer-savvy enough to get on FR, and articulate enough to make a cogent post--but are unaware that the number/nature of hits has nothing to do with Google or the people who run it--is frightening.

And even if we grant all that as true---and I am inclined to do so---it doesn't change the fact that
this particular incident has a perfectly credible explanation that does not require Google's deliberate input.
Let's not resort to the liberal "OK, it's fake, but accurate" cop-out, shall we?

Google knows that their site was hacked to pull up Bush's biography, when "Miserable Failure" is typed it their search feature.
Google knows it, has acknowledged it, and has stated that they have no intention of doing anything about it.

Whine by the perptually offended against fate.
The search coding for Google is less ingeneous the humans intent on subverting it.

Well, what better season for the pagans to attack Christ than on His own blessed birthday? The more childish and boorish these attacks get, the more you know Satan is involved

That's because their site was not "hacked". It was
gamed---that is, people exploited the way Google's PageRank system works to achieve their results.
There's a big difference.
And frankly I agree with Google on this one. (Just this one.) I would much rather their search engine rank pages in a completely automated manner. It is minute they start applying human input to the process is exactly when the search engine gains bias.
Besides, if you feel any better, Michael Moore follows George Bush in the Google search for "miserable failure."
