Actually, I'd say Rush handled the situation very sensitively. LOL! "Sensitive" isn't a word I'd have thought to use to describe Rush--but he was

LOL!, but yeah, that came through even in the transcript. He asked for a break. Obviously, this is a sensitive situation--he didn't want to interfere in a family situation, but on the other hand, here was a brave young man asking for advice.

Kudos to Rush, I think he did a great job.

When I call in to shows I get questioned about what I want to say and the screener usually challenges me as to why I believe what I am saying.

I don't know what it would take to qualify for a Rush interview but I'm sure I definitely don't qualify. lol

Merry Christmas Don-o

It's gonna take some time but eventually I'll have him indoctrinated educated.

He is already indoctrinated from school.

Considering I'm in a place where most adults are Dems (northeast Ohio), I'd have to say that 25% are liberal, 35% are conservative and 40% just don't care. A lot of conservatives with dems for parents.

I'd have to say that those are fairly encouraging statistics then, Justin, all things considered. Now we just have to gradually try to bring over to the "good side", the 40% Indifferent and maybe peel off a few of the 25% Libs here and there in time, and the country will be headed in the right direction.

Thanks for what you are doing with your blog and so on, to help influence young folks in the right political direction ...

The guy did great, Rush really liked him.

Hey, what do you say that on Christmas, we all lift a glass of our favorite adult beverage for a toast, and for your, RT, that'll be a Sprite or a Pepsi, or maybe even a milk, thankyouverymuch, LOL!, and thank God that there are people, young people, who care about their country. Cheers, RealTeen!

It DOES seem like the teens today are generally MORE conservative than their parents, doesn't it?

I doubt union workers really follow politics any more than my dog does. When you reside on the DNC plantation, you just do what Mr. Oversee-er tells ya!

There is not much anyone could do to get parents to stop listening to the union propagandists. They know what is right, but still do what union says to do ("if you value your job" or other tongue-in-cheek threats), vote for Clinton or any other candidate with a "D" next to the name.

Cut the union funding for political parties and you've ended the DNC cash cow that funded their elections in the past, but they've still got the Chi-coms, Iranians or George Soros to help them out.

I have heard of the "Young Republicans National Federation"

http://www.yrnf.com/

Welcome to the home of the Young Republicans! Join our nationwide network of 18-40 year olds who are active in local, state, and national politics. Impact the direction of our country by joining America's Oldest Political Youth Organization!

And I have listen to Rush talk about a grass roots conservative movement on college campuses but you never hear much about it.

"Union thugs" are the one's the dad is listening to. Rather than seeking out information himself, he's content on being spoonfed by the union (DNC).

Actually, this is happening more and more. Kids are going conservative, these kids are getting it. It's driving parents crazy. The kids can see the light but the loon parents are so caught up in it...they just can't see it.

Justin, we are all proud of you! As a son of a liberal father, I totally understand your situation and I can tell you that you have handled this masterfully!

Also, as a recent caller to Rush;
Rush Live Thread August 26,2005
“NewLand” on Rush today
I can relate to the thrill and the excitement just being on the show!

Keep making disciples of your friends and peers...don't worry about the old folks, we got them outnumbered!

Best Regards,
NewLand

The Union members don't know what is behind what they are following at times, but that doesn't stop them following into any dark hole available because their wages are dependent on the union/liberal politics.

I think many members would buy the Union line IMO.

The problems I've had with unions (not counting the mafia) is they hold the employer or taxpayer hostage for higher pay and benefits than are found on average in the private sector.
You really don't find unions in private business anymore because they can't compete or have closed businesses they were in down by making the business bankrupt.
The newest trend regarding the cancer within unions is as they collapse their businesses, they are trying to throw their ill gotten pensions on the backs of the taxpayer during the bankruptcy process.
That started with one or more airline union pensions going bankrupt and being picked up by the taxpayers.

I think all government connected unions should have pay and benefits limited to no more than what is found on average in the private sector being it is being paid with tax payer funds.
We have no business restricting any unions in the private sector, but since they make all the private companies go bust, the pensions left from those unions should pay only what is funded or left, not ever be thrown at the taxpayer to pay IMO.

The Union thugs themselves still have lots of dubious connections in many places.
You have to watch yourself around them at all times.

Bravo for them. Thanks for the info, TheForceOfOne. :) And Merry Christmas. :)

Even moreso than Justin's situation, the best training for a young conservative is college.

If you get thru those four years with your conservative bona fides intact, you're the real thing.

I am eagerly waiting for this trend to hit the universities, big time. There is going to be wholesale harikari among tenured professors, and serious consternation in articles in all the lamestream media. I will be so happy!!!
