Maybe Elton and partner should publicly define who plays what marital role As I understand it, they are not "married", nor is one the husband and the other the wife. They are merely "partners" in a civil union, but they are not married.

It comes from the Greek for "dog's tail" because that's what the Greeks called the extremely bright stars, including the Pole Star, in the constellation Ursa Minor.
Greek sailors could often these them even through fog and guide their ships by the "dog's tail".
