The animals are usually mixed-breed poodles and other toy breeds and sold to buyers at swap meets or through classified advertising. Most of them don't live for very long as they haven't been vaccinated and many of them have parvovirus, distemper, scabies and other ailments.
Just seems like they wouldn't get much for them if they aren't purebred or documented... Not really worth the trouble. I'd think the same volume of drugs as they have puppies would gain them a lot more.
