Google around on him. Amoung other things, he lives in a multi-million dollar house. He also doesn't teach that the only way to heaven is through jesus. He also doesn't seem to beleive in sin. He is just a motivational speaker masquerading as a pastor.

You hit the nail on the head. He constantly spouts this arminian "motivational" crap. "God wants you to be rich, healthy, and good lookin'" Anyone who profits financially from the gospel of Jesus Christ is just pitiful. Also, anyone who uses the word "wants" with respect to God does not have a clue.
Good, he earned it from writing best selling books.
He also doesn't teach that the only way to heaven is through jesus.
Joel tends to be overly tolerant of other religion, but he does teach that jesus is our saviour.

Joel is more of a motivational speaker splinkled with some Biblical teaching. It is more of a Church-lite teaching. But Joel seems to be effective at what he does. Certainly wouldn't listened to Joel to get a deep insight into the Bible, but then again if he can bring millions of people to Christ it is a good thing.
However, I can't bash a pastor for taking a nice vacation once in a while. Or even having a nice house.
Joel Osteen has a rather thin Christian veneer.
