I would guess that the majority of the Osteen's income is generated from Joel's book sales and maybe personal appearances, not from "tithing" their congregation. I believe the book is currently a bestseller.

The Funny Thing is,I was Listening to one of his MegaMasses couple a weeks ago.
And he was talking about being Patient in stressful situations,that confront us on a daily basis,he mentioned Airport lines,and be calm,take it easy,yada yada yada.....

Exactly, in fact he did not take his 2005 salary because of how well his book sales and speaking engagements have gone. This link has a good article about him.

Because it contains mostly fluff, like his preaching.
