Terror suspect?

When was he just merely a suspect? Didn't the guy himself boast of being a terror mastermind? I supose CNN thinks there is eveidence he is innocent. Another carefull use of language by the MSM.

So you're saying CNN would recycle old bad "news" in order to tarnish a successful election today?

Could they be that cynical?

This is bloody pathetic.

CNN staffers, if you're lurking:

Really. Please, spare us your depressed madness. You are truly pathetic, like a six-year-old dressed in his daddy's business suit, and about as professional.

We were too busy self-flagellating about Abu Ghraib to be concerned about Zarqawi back then.

As a pre-buttal, the whining and sniveling about Katrina has been going on all week.

I just called CNN and I asked the lady who answered the phone why are they recycling this old story about terrorist Zarqawi dated from January 2005 and making it as breaking news. I told her that CNN is very biased by recycling recycle this old story because they want to shed a negative light on today's very successful election. I told her to look at Newsweek article in 1/30/2005 and other media sources who reported this story then. The lady who answered the phone said that she will ask CNN news desk to look into this.

That Zarqawi slipped the net is not really that surprising. This kind of event where a fugitive temporarily slips the authorities is nothing really that rare, even in the US.

Give it a rest... This was the Iraqi government's announcement. Should CNN just ignore them?

Some people have a horrible persecution complex and think the media is always out to get them...

Welcome to Free Republic.

You should consider the source (CNN) and the timing of their story.

If you read the article you will see that it has not been confirmed and is only a possibility, not for certain, and yet it makes their "Breaking on CNN" banner on the day of the election? I take it you defend CNN before considering the facts.

Maybe take the time to consider all the info before replying.

Have a nice stay.
