Not really. They think the vast American public is really pretty stupid,( which they aren't) and have no long term memory.
What really scares the h!! out of them is when they are forced to see themselves for what they are, and it is not too pretty an image.
I mean, wouldn't you be upset if you looked in the mirror and suddenly realized that you were past the age of 45, and still a 60's hippie reject, who had failed to mature with any wisdom?
That has to be one of the sorriest designed web sites I've ever seen in my life.
Dialup users should find another source, because theirs kept restarting the buffer. After 5 times I gave up.
Actually for me the national GOP site didn't work and had the experience you describe, and the cagop site actually worked.
You might try this and see if this works for you:
http://www.gop.org/
I just try both links, the CA GOP, which worked fine earlier, and the GOP.org and now I can's get the video to play on either.
It just occurred to me, could it be that the Dems have launched some denial of service attack, or hacked into the sites and put in some virus that won't allow the video to play?
Here is the error message I just got, after leaving it alone to try to establish connection:
"The server received invalid data from the client on the control connection."
They could have been hacked.
I just tried this one:
http://www.gop.org/
and after 4 megs of finger drumming, I said the hell with it and disconnected. No white line on the Winduhs media player showing buffer activity of any sort, no aural "hiccups", no nothing.
It would be nice if designers of web sites had a molecule of basic common sense, and especially if they're claiming to be on the Right. Providing a simple link where you can right click and Save As, with the file size noted, must be a herculean task for those microcephalics, however.
sigh
