Thursday, December 8, 2005 | Kristinn

An Arabic language website sympthetic to al-Qaeda is claiming the first witness in the trial of Saddam was killed. The message on the site says he was killed by infiltrators loyal to Saddam Hussein and the resistance.

The message threatened to kill all the witnesses who testify against Saddam.

If true, this is very bad news.

It's pretty easy to post any whacko claim on a website. This post, for instance.

The poster Kristinn has been around for some time ... this gives the post some validity ... wait and see.

(Sorry, Kristinn, I was making fun of my own post. In hindsight, it might look like a shot at you. Not intended.)

No problem. This came from someone very familiar with the situation in Iraq. I got the text translated for me. I'd rather not post the link to the website in case the good guys are monitoring it. The bad guys might take it down if it gets too much attention.

"It is time to kill Saddam."

He should have never gotten out of that hole he was hiding in alive. Imagine what one simple bullet would have done to simplify this process.

I agree. The perfect is the enemy of the good in this case. They should have put him on trial and executed him after the guilty verdict a long time ago.

I hate to say this, but...

BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'd love to see the losers try to silence or kill the entire I raqi population. EVERYONE is a witness for the prosecution.

Regarding the claim, if true God bless the victim and his loved ones. If false, just wait your turn on the dock, @-holes. You might find that your "fellow muslims" love you about as much as Saddam.

Assuming our brave guys and gals, the Iraqis, and the other Coalition forces don't turn you into camel paste first.

"It is time to kill Saddam."

It is well BEYOND the time for Saddam to meet his Maker. He should have been "departed" when he was first found. This trial has turned into a farce.

how much more testimony do they need on the record to get a conviction anyway? they should have it all already. I really could care less if this trial is fair - just go through the motions, convict him, hang him.

Michael Moore's minutemen at work. These are the people whose rights we are to be concerned about? Maybe when they stop practicing unlimited war against innocent people, they can get some rights. If the rest of the Iraqi population allows them to.
