I'm worried that it will be an excuse to get rid of air marshals.
Between this and the recent decision to let up on what kinds of items people can carry on flights (for example pocketknives), it looks like we're trying to systematically dismantle airline security for some reason I can't figure out.
Theoretically we are allowing more items to be carried on to flights "so security can focus more on detecting explosives". One would seem to be forgetting that the problem we were having on 9/11/2001 didn't have anything to do with carrying explosives onto planes.

What if all terrorists claim that they are "bipolar?" Hmmmmmm. This could be a way out for Saddam, Osama and Zawqawi.

For those of you who have not figured it out by now , this is sarcasm. The fact that it took me a while to figure out you were sarcastic is not because I am stupid. It is because your story is not all that far from reality.
I smell a lawsuit coming, and Howeird Dean is not far behind, arguing on behalf of deranged persons everywhere.

That's not quite what Chris Matthews said tonight, but it's pretty damn close.
Next time, lose the sarcasm qualifier and just let it loose and see what happens........it will allow for a lot more interesting responses and we get to laugh at, and ridicule those, that thought you were serious.
You were joking, right?

I hope you are being sarcastic </sarcasm>

Bush's fault...
ok, keeping in line with the theme of sarcasm, who lied to the marshal causing him to kill this perfectly innocent, harmless person?

Now....where was Cindy Sheehan when we needed her with her rolling pin to retaliate to terroists in this country . ( And yes, she said she would respond to any terrorist that came to our country with a "rolling pin")
To: Bud Krieger
The problem is that the insane lefties really think about things in exactly the way you have described. As sure as the sun will rise tomorrow, some moron liberal news-nut will use this incident as a "reason" why no one should be allowed to have guns on an airplane. For that matter, why should anyone be allowed to have a gun? Watch for it in the NY Times or on ABC, NBC, CBS, CNN, etc.

I think that air marshals all across the country are watching how this plays out very closely. Even though it was a tragedy the Marshal acted on the side of the public's safety, I hope internal affairs and the courts see it that way.
The terrorists will also be going to school on this case.

And even if she was, she could have been a fellow accomplice.

The Air Marshall had no right to shoot this man without "complete and convincing evidence" he possed a threat to the people in his general area. That skank randi rhodes is going on about how this is another conservative right-wing attack on everyone else. She says "if they go to court, this air marshall is in deep doo doo! What are we now going to shoot anyone that is upset in the air?" When will Airhead America go off the air - not soon enough? Wonder why this country is divided? I can give you a hint......
