BILL SETS STAGE FOR HILL'S RUN (red states high on Dims' 2008 agenda)

OPENING ACT: Bill Clinton gives what may have been a presidential pitch for wife Hillary last night at Crobar.Photo: Robert Miller

Bill Clinton may have fired the opening salvo in his wife's 2008 presidential campaign last night when he answered a supporter's shouted question about whether Hillary would run for president with these words: "We'll get into that."

Clinton ripped into the Republican leadership....(and) slammed the Bush administration for giving him "five tax cuts" while cutting food-stamp assistance to poor people.

Clinton used the phrase "We can do better" like a mantra, repeating it four times — including one riff aimed at the administration's response to Hurricane Katrina.

But perhaps in a nod to red-state moderate voters who would be crucial to Hillary's White House hopes, Clinton added, "She even works with people who wanted to run me out of town."

More than 2,000 people paid $50 a pop to attend the event at swanky Chelsea nightspot Crobar......... Hillary didn't attend.

........in a nod to red-state moderate voters who would be crucial to Hillary's White House hopes, Clinton added, "She even works with people who wanted to run me out of town".....

As Monica Lewinsky might have said to Bill while kneeling under his desk, "I find that hard to swallow."

I say "Run, Hillie, run."

The American body politic needs to exorcise the Toons once and for all.

"She even works with people who wanted to run me out of town."

There are some people up in Canada infected with the results of your "Blood Scandal" who want to do worse than that to you.

He's looking more and more dissipated. This is a seriously not-so-well 'toon.

Damn! Medical science!

Especially since NYS voters will take a very dim view of Hilliary using our state as a short-term stepping stone to a presidential run. Her poll numbers go further south when voters are asked if they'd vote for her for Senate if she refuses to serve out the term.

I missed this part. Echoes of JFK. These people are so stuck in the 60's. Dean with his incoherent rantings trying to equate Iraq to Vietnam. Now HillBilly invoking JFK.

There's some serious mental illness affecting an entire political party.

Once again we see the alternate universe of the Clintons and liberals in general. In their world the Clintons won the red states because they are moderates and not because of Ross Perot.

This is a seriously not-so-well 'toon..........You may not be far from the truth. In another news report about the event, Clinton made an oblique reference to his heart problems.

Nails it.......the little pest Perot hated GHWB, and took a hefty 11% of the vote away from him.

And yet the MSM portrays his Presidency like he was beloved by the vast majority of Americans.

I like the video "boxer, briefs, or thong" the best. I don't know why this tickles me so!

Enjoy.

Thanks for the post. I am thinking back and Bill Clinton, while he may mean well, does not have a good track record when he attempts to promote candidates who are not himself.
