One problem though: by the time you get to the store you'll forget you were going to buy pomegranate juice! Can't win!

I have read previous articles detailing cancer preventing abilities of pomegranate.

The ancient people's of crete were obsessed with the stuff, farmers had to bring the king huge jars of it each year.

I saw pomegranate juice in the grocery store the other day, but I had forgotten why I was supposed to buy it. (It could be too late for me.) ;[

After some experimentation I found that the best juicer for a pomegranate is a garlic press. Remove the seeds and press in small batches, removing the filter gunk between squeezes. Time consuming but yields and excellent product.

I've seen it in the store, but it's so expensive. Is it any good? If a few FReepers say it's OK I'll try it.

Sometimes I am given a box of pomegranates by grateful clients with pomegranate orchards. I have never had the slightest idea what to do with these unlikely looking fruits.
