It is a great series of books, although at the end of the last one I was so mad that I threw the book across the room and cursed the name J.K. Rowling.
Dave Kopel, a national review writer has written a fantastic piece on Harry and company. Here's the link:

Me too, and if she kills off Harry, I will really be pissed!
Forgive me for saying this, but Harry Potter is fiction. If Rowling, the creator, wants to kill him off, that is her call. She probably feels she has plenty of money, and would prefer to maintain her integrity. It seems that I had read somewhere that all of the Potter books were outlined long ago, and I would imagine that Rowling will stick with her original plan, whatever that was. My kids (and wife) love the Potter books-- I read the first one, but I am not big on fiction-- and they devour them within a day or two of publication. We always buy 3 copies at midnight from the dreaded and loathed Wal-Mart.

ME TOO!
Too late! She's got your greenbacks.
Pssssstt...Dumbledore's not really dead.
(That's my take on it, anyway.)
