Iranian Military Plane Carrying 94 Crashes

TEHRAN, Iran - An Iranian military transport plane with 94 people on board crashed into a 10-story building in the suburbs of the capital Tehran on Tuesday, state television reported.

The building was reported to be on fire, and fire fighters were on the scene working to save people trapped in the building in the Azari residential district.

The C-130 aircraft hit the building while coming in to land at Tehran's Mehrabad airport, state television reported.

The plane, which belonged to the Army's air force, was carrying 84 passengers and 10 crew, the report said.

State television said the plane crashed because of a technical failure as it was trying to make an emergency landing.

The plane crashed into the Towhid residential complex.

It reportedly had taken off from Mehrabad airport and was heading to Bandar Abbas, a port city in southern
Iran.

Almighty Allah in the Quran says that the division of people in the races and clans is only for their introduction. The best one out of them is the man of piety. Dr. Mohammad Ali Al-khuli is his book titled “The Light of Islam” writes. “Islam is the greatest unifying force in the world. It is a religion to all humans regardless of color, race and language. It is a religion that tolerates other religions and orders its followers to respect and protect all humans.”
