President Bush departs with Rumsfeld for a trip to Maryland to speak at the United States Naval Academy. The White House issued a 35-page plan Wednesday titled 'Our National Strategy for Victory in Iraq.'
President Bush is introduced by Lt. Gov. Michael S. Steele during a campaign event for Steele's bid for the U.S. Senate in Baltimore, Md.
My sister and I attended the very nice event for Michael Steele and the President today. Lots of energy and enthusiasm in the room for a seriously good candidate for Senator.
It was held at M&T Bank [Ravens] Stadium on the Club level. Two parking lots north of the stadium were cleared and used as helipads, so we stood at glass walls (like at an airport) and watched Marine One and its escorts land. Then the motorcade drove up to the helicopter, collected the President - after he waved to all of us (LOL! from a block away!) - and saluted the Marine at the foot of the helo's steps - and drove him into the stadium. He met with folks who paid $5000 for the opportunity of a photograph with him, then he came out and spoke to a crowd full of happy people, including us, who paid much less just to be there, have some lunch and see him. His voice was great and his remarks were so positive.
Two great men!
Steele for US Senate!
