Supporters -- among them President Bush -- say intelligent design should be taught alongside evolution. Some public schools have tried to do so, with varying levels of success and controversy.
Now Broward County schools will decide whether to use the textbook, which is one of four high school Biology I texts approved by the state. The district's science curriculum supervisor says he sees no problem discussing religion in the classroom. And at least one Shool Board member is pushing to broaden the discussion about evolution and intelligent design.

This issue isn't going away any time soon. It's getting quite interesting. I think parents are starting to pay attention.

"While he would like to keep to Florida's science standards, Saravia said he would have trouble connecting to some students if he didn't at least mention intelligent design.
"I have students who come in to my class and say, `Oh, I believe in God. You're not going to change my mind,''' he said."
He should just reply that he's teaching a science class, so the existence or otherwise of God isn't relevant during the time that they spend in his classroom...

Evolution cannot be controlled, just keeps changing. I do not think this Sunday morning is going to be a gooooood day for the evolution I mean science community.

Every day is just as good for evolution as any other; it just keeps beboping along no matter what, whether you acknowledge it or not.

Then why the need to control evolution if 'it' just keeps beboping?

"Personally, I don't understand how evolution works," Kraft said. "I don't understand how you went from one cell and then all of a sudden you got man.Man is created from one single cell thousands of times a day.
She's Kraftyyyy.

Huh?It's called birth. It happens right after conception. Begins as a single cell and you know the rest.

The sperm cell and the egg cell combine to form a single new cell which is the beginning of a baby.

Yours and her point? Evolution doesn't state one single cell by itself made everything.

Supposedly evolution just happened, no controlling legal authority had anything to do with it, yet this day everything about evolution is controlled under man's theory called ToE. Something very unscientific about that concept.
