Thursday, Nov. 24, 2005 9:55 a.m. EST Hillary Clinton's Left-wing Slip Showing
Hillary Clinton's 2008 presidential poll numbers continue to slip with the Democratic Party's left wing base - according to the latest online survey conducted by the Daily Kos web site.
The former first lady has now slid to fifth place among likely candidates, with Virginia Gov. Mark Warner leapfrogging past her into third place. She now ranks just above the Koz category "No Freakin' Clue" among top Democrats who are expected to run.
In more bad news for Mrs. Clinton, her meager 6 percent support continues a downward trend that began over the summer, when she had 10 percent backing her candidacy.
By September, however, she had slipped to 8 percent in the same poll.
Former Gen. Wesley continues to lead in the Kos poll, winning the backing of 26 percent. Sen. Russ Feingold trails in second place, with 19 percent support. Former vice presidential candidate John Edwards comes in fourth, with 12 percent support.
The only first tier presidential candidate who trails Mrs. Clinton is John Kerry, with just 2 percent backing in the online poll.
Notes Kos, whose site is among the most heavily trafficked on the political left: "While this isn't a scientific poll of the Democratic Party rank and file, at 11K+ results it's a pretty darn accurate poll of the sentiments of the Daily Kos community."
doesn't she look like she's ready to give the finger to the camera?
This is bad news for Republicans. Hillary would turn the base out in droves just so that she didn't win (anyone but Clinton). Unless Republicans start acting like Republicans though - I'd say this is a BAD thing for us...
jmho...
They better hope they have another Ronald Reagan if Clinton *isn't* the candidate.
They'll be there for her when she needs them.
I'll believe the Dem base will choose another Dem over her when I see it.
I think she's gripping Lanny Davis's giblets.
Polls at this point don't mean much, other than conversation.
Hillary has more money to spend than any other Democrat candidate, and once that gets going the others will be in the dust.
Just like her husband Bill, the left will support her no matter what her positions are because they know she'll say whatever it takes to win the election but not govern that way.
By January, 2004, Howard Dean was commonly known to be the greatest candidate in history with the most advanced organization and fund raising machine anyone ever saw or hoped to see. It turned out that almost no one, even Democrats ever heard of the guy.
If the rapist enabler wants the nomination, my guess is it's hers. The candidate ahead of her in any real poll hasn't yet had the full brunt of the the clinton smear machine. By the time they get finished, he would lose head to head to Jeffrey Dahmer.
WTF ? That guy will not wear well even with Democraps; he's a shallow self serving blowhard. And Feingold is just an unknown lefty. Whomever they put up wont be any more appealing than Kerry, IMO.
This is OK. The far left will vote for her in droves over any Repub. It's the middle ground she needs most.
I will vote for a conservative Republican. However, this is the time Joe Leiberman should run. Up against hilllereeee he will make her look like the "amateur" she is.
according to the latest online survey conducted by the Daily Kos web site.
They'll nominate the person who has the most capcity for hate. Because their base is so full of hatred, their candidate will have to be an extension of and an outlet for that hatred. Think Al Gore.
Yeah I can see them nominating Clark. That will make their last five nominations rapist, rapist, certified lunatic, traitor, war criminal.
And whoever it is better take out flying ashtray insurance
Her Heinous will declare to the Dhimmirats: "All your base are belong to us!" Aaaaarrrrrggggggggggghhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!
I can't even imagine this guy winning. BTW, does he wear mascara?
Hitlery's goons will have all of the dissidents back on their plantation in time for the primaries.
Or punch Bill in the mouth.
The media will rescue her - It's been their plan since 1992.
