NEWINGTON, Conn. -- Hours after counseling Newington High School students mourning the death of a classmate, Officer Ciara McDermott was shot to death in her home by her ex-boyfriend, a suspended state trooper who then turned the gun on himself.

Victor Diaz was found dead on the second floor of McDermott's West Hartford home. He was facing allegations of using a statewide police data base to look up the license plate of a car parked in McDermott's driveway.

Some men and women can't let go because they never venture out of the 20 mile radius that they call home.

The masses don't have a global perspective... let alone a statewide perspective.

A few years back a couple of lesbian Detroit cops got into a bit of a quarrel that ended up with gunplay in a party store parking lot.

Murder Suicide--Yes.
Being penalized for doing a search outside of a valid investigation--no. Been going on for 10 years to protect "Privacy".
In California, I left law enforcment at the end of 2001 by way of retirement. From about 1995 on, all police agencies were warned twice per year that any search outside a valid investigation would be punished by punitive administrative action, up to and including, dismissal, 6 months in jail, and a $1,000 fine.

This was the over-reaction by Liberals to the murder of some movie actress. The killer was able to buy her identifying information at the DMV.

One would think the power of the Internet could broaden their horizons. I hate stories like this, they hit close to home.

That sounds like Shaker ideology.

Results in lots of nice furniture, and nobody to bequeath it to.
