In violation of CIA regulations...

it matters not at all. Nobody will enforce regulations against a Democrat.

Yeah... look for it on the MSMNightlyNews. It'll be right after the progress we're making in Iraq... just before the good news on the economy.

That's a rhetorical question.

As WorldNetDaily first reported, retired Maj. Gen. Vallely claimed Wilson revealed Plame's employment with the CIA to him in a casual conversation in the Fox News "green room" the year before she allegedly was "outed" by Novak.
If this is true, why is special prosecutor Fitzgerald saying that Libby was the one who started the leak?

Has Fitzgerald missed most of the story?

It seems that Wilson has the same disease that Kerry has; Kerry cannot shut up about his Vietnam service, and Wilson cannot shut up about his wife's background.

Aw, c'mon. This is chump change!

It's not as if this is some sort of a serious offense like stuffing highly classified documents in your socks and stealing them or Blood For Oil! Can't we just move on from this radical right-wing pogrom against innocent patriots who are only trying to expose the dastardly criminal activites of the real liars, Chimpy and Haliburton, and save the country? /sarc/

Joe Wilson is a former Democratic appointee (a couple of ambassadorships and a job on the National Security Council, plus working for Al Gore) who wrote a BS article in order to help the Kerry campaign. End of story.

The whole affair is an attempt to divert attention away from Joe Wilson's botched attempt to cast doubt on the Bush Administration's Iraq WMD intellegence.

Cashill says if "his wife" refers not to Kristof's spouse but to Plame, "which it almost assuredly does," Wilson "has implicated Plame in a serious transgression."

Plame was at the breakfast in violation of security. But, it gets better;

February 19, 2002 – Joseph Wilson meets with officials from CIA and the State Department. According to a State Department intelligence analyst’s notes, the meeting was convened by Valerie Wilson. She later testifies that she left the meeting after introducing her husband. (Senate Intelligence Cmte., Iraq 40, July 2004).

March 5, 2002 –Wilson reports back to two CIA officers at his home. Valerie Wilson is present but does not participate. (Senate Intelligence Cmte., Iraq 43, July 2004).

Kristof column May 5, 2003: I'm told by a person involved in the Niger caper that more than a year ago the vice president's office asked for an investigation of the uranium deal, so a former U.S. ambassador to Africa was dispatched to Niger. In February 2002, according to someone present at the meetings, that envoy reported to the C.I.A. and State Department that the information was unequivocally wrong and that the documents had been forged.

I think Kristof knew EXACTLY who Plame was in May, 2003 (the person present at both meetings) we will find out when Kristof is frog marched in front of the Libby jury.

Time to start taking down some of the Looney Lefties and their Anti-war crowd. THEY ARE THE ONES BREAKING THE REGULATIONS AND LAWS, not BUSH and the majority of Repubs. Nothing is beyond these looney American hating lefties.

From Vanity Fair:
In early May, Wilson and Plame attended a conference sponsored by the Senate Democratic Policy Committee, at which Wilson spoke about Iraq; one of the other panelists was the New York Times journalist Nicholas Kristof. Over breakfast the next morning with Kristof and his wife, Wilson told about his trip to Niger and said Kristof could write about it, but not name him.

I've got to disagree with Cashill. The Vanity Fair writer seems quite clearly to be referring to Kristof's wife, not Wilson's.
