Nigergate: All Ambassador Wilson’s lies

Nigergate: All Ambassador Wilson’s lies

Ambassador Wilson has a lot of strange friends: people that know and reveal top secret information to the foreign media, collaborators of foreign secret services and, last but not least, a number of disgruntled ex Cia officers.

Once again Chiocci and Sechi at Il Giornale hit the nail on the head, this time round it’s Ambassador Wilson’s turn to be put under the spotlight. The following article, published Sunday, examines the Ambassador’s interesting ties to the French secret services and the anti-Bush cabal of ex Cia officers that go by the name of ‘VIPS’. Note how Wilsons friends at VIPS were able to anticipate to the German network ARD the the top secret conclusions of the IAEA analysis of the Niger dossier. This is VERY important and perhaps somebody can tell us a little more about it.

I’m going to post a follow-up to this tomorrow, something that sheds even more light on the connections between the members of the Wilson network. It’s time the truth came out so remember to check tomorrow’s posting so as not to miss any of the additional details.

ARTICLE BEGINS ---

Nigergate: All Ambassador Wilson’s lies By Gian Marco Chiocci, Mario Sechi

November 20, 2005

There are a number of characters involved in both Cia-gate and Niger-gate that make routine appearances. Particular types who are not only tied to both of the spy stories but also to the political media cicuit. They all belong to the ‘anti three B’ party (Bush, Berlusoni, Blair) and, despite all of the evidence, obsessively avoid ever making any reference to the French intelligence connection in the dissemination of the false dossier on uranium trafficking. This is very strange given the fact that, without exception, they are all highly competent and scrupulous. They are characters who built thier offensive on the declerations of Joseph Wilson, ex ambassador in Niger famous for two reasons: he’s the diplomat who after having been sent to Niger by the White House to investigate the uranium charges denied the existace of any similar trafficking; also for his second wife, Jacqueline, a collaborator of the French secret services and Valeria Plame, the secret agent from Langley, who was ‘burned’ by the ‘hawks’ from the White House – or so the Prosecutor Patrick Fitzgerald maintains – as a vendetta against her husband who dismantled ‘the smoking gun’ used to justify the invasion of Iraq.

And it’s exactly in regards to the ‘hero’ Wilson that some interesting elements are coming to light that, unfortunately, we will never read in the american liberal media or in Italy in La Repubblica (newspaper that published on November 1 2005 an article, by the ambassador, regarding his ’27 months of hell’). Let’s start from the beginning, or rather from 2002 when the ex ambassador flew to Niger to verify information coming from a number of intelligence agencies. The information in question pointed to Saddam’s having attempted to acquire ‘yellowcake’. Testifying in front of the Senate Intelligence Committee Wilson confirmed that he had given officials ample assurances that “there was no basis to the stories”. In reality, as was later discovered, the Senators ended up convincing themselves of the contrary, Wilson’s report to the Cia was seen as reinforcing the case that Saddam was attempting to acquire yellowcake. The Cia, in an analysis examined by the Senate Commission, attributed a high level of attendibility to the Wilson report in that the diplomat affirmed that “niger officials (prime minister Ibrahm Mayaki and the Minister of Information Sayeed Al-Sahaf) amitted that an Iraqi delegation had visited the country in 1999 and that the Premier believed that the Iraqi’s were interested in buying uranium”, thus fully confirming the information that had been received from the British and the Italians. The fact that during talks with Mayaki the sale of uranium was never mentioned was only revealed when, two months later, on May 2 2004, Wilson appeared on the Nbc program ‘Meet the press’. Had he simply forgotten?

With the passing of time his relationships (from before the Niger trip) with a number of ex Cia spies grouped together under the banner ‘Vips’, came to light. Vips are tied to the anti-Bush bloggers and Vips were able to anticipate, to the German network Ard, the the top secret conclusions of the Iaea analysis of the Niger dossier. Amongst the ex Langley crowd is the analyst Ray McGovern with whom, what a strange coincidence, Wilson had participated on June 14 2003 in an ‘Ong Education for peace in Iraq Center’ initiative where Wilon declared “the problem of arms of mass destruction together with terrorism have supplied the President with the necessary consensus for the war. Everything that’s currently hidden will be revealed soon”. A cryptic turn of phrase. Different from the lies pronounced in Cia-gate where Wilson denied having been sent to Niger thanks to the help of his wife who was working in the Cpd (counter proliferation division) of the Cia. A decleration denied by a number of Cpd officials and by the memorandum written by his wife, Valeria Plame, on February 12 2002 where she wrote to her direct superior “my husband has good relations with both the Prime Minsiter and the ex Minister of Mines (not to mention numerous French contacts) who could perhaps shed some light on this type of activity”. The ex ambassador’s wife told the Intelligence committee that when the Cpd decided to send the ex Niger ambassador (her husband) it was her who spoke to him, on behalf of the Cia, saying “there’s this idiot report” regarding a presumed agreement for the sale of uranium from Niger to Iraq. An idiot agreement, no evidence. The Cia had doubts, not certainties. It was Wilson, ironically, that eliminated them. It can be claimed that it’s all the reverse, including the vendetta against Plame, who, as opposed to what’s often thought, wasn’t a mysterious object going around Washington disguised in sunglasses and a headscarf. All that’s needed is to read the entry for Joseph Wilson in the 2001 edition of “Who’s who” which states: “ambassador, m. Valeria Elise Plame, april 3, 1998”. Two people and four comical roles: husband and wife, ambassador and spy that recomended him. ARTICLE ENDS ---

The Silverman-Robb Commission pointed out the biggest problem with the US intelligence community - it refuses to reform itself and has successfully counterattacked anyone who tried to reform it from the outside.

It's too dangerous for such a sensitive and powerful part of our government to be independent. They have assumed the right to cripple anyone who crosses their path.

Time to treat leaking of classified material as a national security exposure. Sic the FBI on the CIA. Lockdown CIA headquarters building and start investigating the leaks. Lie detector tests for everyone. Name, and then fire the middle managers who hid the intel shortcomings on WMD while telling their superiors it was solid, a "slam dunk". Boo hoo, might ruin their careers. They ruined the credibility of the United States of America. They failed to do their jobs.

Find their collaborators. Let's see VIPS like Larry C. Johnson (D-Arrogance) take the fifth after they're frog-marched to jail for leaking classified info. Then give them immunity to compel them to say who their sources were. Rhymes with "blame".

Lock down all the journalists who have cozy relationships with the CIA. Subpoena their notebooks, phone records and laptops. Get to the bottom of this. The Bush Administration has nothing to lose. The CIA has already been at war with them for two years. Time to return the favor.

"Vips were able to anticipate, to the German network Ard, the the top secret conclusions of the Iaea analysis of the Niger dossier."

If this is true, the CIA must have been told, or had concluded, that there was a forgery. Someone at the CIA must also have been leaking information about the forgery.

Remember that Wilson tried to use the FORGED NIGER DOCUMENT from Italy as proof Bush lied, but the congressional hearing revealed he could not have known about it at the time he said he did because it was not known to exist at the time.

Now latest report on the forged document indicates it was of French origin.

Wilson and people at the CIA have a French connection. Did he know about the document all along after all?

Did he or any of his cohorts have anything to do with creation of the forgery?

Or VIPS and CIA created the forgeries to "poison the well".

Thanks! I was wondering about the German angle mentioned here because of that German TV broadcast VIPS did just before ElBaradei's announcement, plus the fact that IAEA is headquartered in Vienna and it was reportedly the US mission in Vienna that disclosed the forgeries to IAEA. Also, LaRouche has longstanding ties to German Nazi groups.

Ann Coulter: surely you can take the totality of these facts and turn them into a political page-turner---a "novel" that actually is true!

I don't think so. The documents supposedly came to light in 2000. No incentive to forge them at that time.

The Senate Select Committee on Intelligence Report say the documents came to light in Italy in October of 2002. The dates on the documents were much older but they still could have been forged in late 2002.
