I’m going to Question The Patriotism™ of Democrat politicians.
Let’s suppose you’re Nancy Pelosi or John Murtha. You believe, in your heart of hearts, that America, the world, and your constituents, would be better off if the United States were to - in Murtha’s euphemism - “immediately redeploy” from Iraq. Do you not then have an obligation to act upon your convictions? If you believe that immediately withdrawing from Iraq is the best, the most prudent, the most principled course of action, is it not your patriotic duty to do everything you can to enable that course of action?
Yet, when precisely that question was put to a vote in the House on Friday, Democrats choked. Only 3 of them stood up for principle. The rest put politics over patriotism and betrayed their principles, their constituents, and their country, by failing to stand up for a course of action they believed was best.
If Democrats want to be known as patriots, they must do what they think is right; they should vote for immediate withdrawal. Patriots do what they think is right for their country.
I question the left's patriotism all the time. They aren't patriotic, they're jerks.
I NEVER "question" the "patriotism" of the left- I am absolutely SURE, that they are NOT patriotic, that they ARE traitors, and that they hate everything America stands for. They always have. They always will.
Patriotism means stadning firm for your beliefs. Defeatists (formerly leftists) vacilate all over the board with their only consistent goal being to damage the President regardless of what is involved in doing that damage. How can one call Cindy Sheehan or now John Murtha "patriotic?" Both have sold their souls to work for defeat in the world war on terror. Both believe we can hide under the bed and avoid the wrath of the enemy. Both believe we can somehow retreat to Fortress America and be left alone as the enemy rampages across the globe. Sheehan demonstrates outside Walter Reed while Murtha walks the halls. I submit that Murtha is more dangerous to our cause than Sheehan ever was because Murtha works from the inside to destroy morale and the determination to move forward to victory. How he can visit Walter Reed now and look soldiers in the face after trumpeting that their sacrifices were in vain and for no reason??? I hope he gets an ear full on the next visit.
I don't "question" their patriotism, i state flat
out that they are domestic enemies of these United
States. Self-serving, disloyal, craven, and crooked.

My favorite is......"I Support the troops, but not the mission" and in the next breath they accuse the troops of "torture and using banned weapons against innocents".
Anyone know much about the LL and Wilkerson (former Ch. of Staff to Powell).....have I been asleep at the wheel...or is their embracing of him something new? He's the topic of all conversation, given that he is spewing exactly what they want to hear.
Good! Though I can't stand the new use of the word 'swiftboating' being used in such a negatively similar way.
John Murtha is just another example of how the Dhimmicrat party corrupts everything that it touches
They are even prepared to sell out to some of hostory's most barbaric enemies of civilization. There was a time when I thought they would wake up. I've changed my mind. What we need is some way to separate ourselves from these dangerous traitors.
If they are not outright traitors, then they are just incapable of learning from history. Appeasement and isolationism don't work.
Americans have an obligation to question the patriotism of politicians asking for their vote. There's a lot of people on the left who hate this country, I mean HATE. You don't want them to get elected (like they sometimes do).

The Rats can call this a "political stunt" all they want, but the issue was real: if you actually believe that what is best for the country is to "immediately redeploy" from Iraq, then put your money where your mouth is!
There was no excuse for the Rats to not vote their convictions (ha ha). They would not even have caused any mischief---the Republicans would have blocked the resolution from passing.
But they didn't even have the guts to vote for withdrawal when five minutes beforehand they were on the boob toobe DEMANDING withdrawal!
What a bunch of Clymers.

Call them IRRESPONSIBLE. It better defines their childish views of the world
