This is in part because the democrats have been playing to the FOREIGN press. (see FOREIGN campaign donors regadless of legality, see clinton)

I bet the foreign media will play murtha's comments but not the actual vote tally.

The fact that Cynthia A. McKinney of Georgia, Robert Wexler of Florida and Jose E. Serrano of New York were the only three shows they are Congressional LOONIES. Loonies who are an embarassment to their consitutents.

France, now, is the bad example. Two centuries ago, France was the good example. I wrote the column below while the debate in the House was closing out.

Congressman Billybob

Latest column: "What If the French Had Pulled a 'Murtha' in 1781?"

Not that I think attacking Murtha personally is worth anything - but don't you think that if he were a Republican that the media would at least mention that he was listed as an “unindicted co-conspirator” in ABSCAM? Instead, they have made him St. Demwarhawk. NOT ONE MENTION OF IT in any article about Murtha the past few days. That is odd....

I agree. I am sure Mother Sheehan was planning her mtgs. with Murtha, and vice-versa.

I was disappointed that JD chose not to run for Governor of our state next year against Ms. Neopolitan, but I believe he has all the qualities for a fine President and he's a great speaker (he was a radio sportscaster before going to politics). He also has a wonderful wife (Mary) and is a fine Christian. HAYWORTH in 2008 for President - now we're talking about a great candidate!

Great quote. Glad the house did what it did. Now if the senate R's could re-grow their spines, we'd be fine......

The guy stepped to the plate!

What he states is no great revelation... this is a war and it must be won. There ain't no 'walkin away from this one... our enemy has NO intention of doing so. They want to EAT our children.

V. D. Hanson was on 'Hardball' saying the same thing to an astounded, Chris Mathews last night. Chrissie blubbered “But an overwhelming majority of Americans want us out of there... how lonnnnnng can we stay?!!!”

Hanson calmly looked him in the eye and said “This won't be over in my lifetime.”

For a second... I thought 'Spit-Boy' was 'gonna start 'cryin!

I have more respect for JD Hayworth than the entire membership of the US Senate. I find it refreshing to hear clear concise statements instead of someone parsing every sentence that comes out of their mouth.

What is wrong with Sam Brownback? He has stood up for almost all conservatie causes, and he clearly did stand up against the Mier's confirmation.

It has come to light that Harry Reid has admitted he did not review the pre war intelligence reports prepared by the CIA at the direct request of the Democrats.

And Rockefeller admitted that only six Senators have reviewed the same documents.

Now this means that, sadly, very few Republicans reviewed the documents either.

But Republicans aren't the ones complaining about pre war intelligence report manipulation.

It seems the RNC could make an effective commercial that the left complains about the manipulation of intelligence reports but admit they haven't read them. So how could the left make a judgement that intelligence was manipulated?

You've nailed it.

We no longer have two loyal major American political Parties - we have one. The other is composed of Americans who no longer see the America our Founding Fathers envisioned but instead see an America Karl Marx and other enemies of our Republic envisioned and wished for.

If the Democrats had any shame left (and they don't, as their worship of Bill Clinton indicates) they would be ashamed of the spectacle they made of themselves last night!

The Dems are trying to spin this as if the Republicans "changed" Murtha's resolution. WHy? Because supposedly Murtha didn't say "immediate" but only to do so in 6 months time. What a crock! It took us almost a year to even get in-country before the war, so immediately MEANS it would take 6 months at least to withdraw...and I loved what Hayworth did by showing the two headlines of the NYTIMES..."immediate withdrawal" Beautifully done and about time!!

The vote last night showed the Democrats for the cowards and traitors they are.

This is a great post, and you nailed the Democrats perfectly. Wish I could have stated it so well!!

One of the surrender-monkies, Robert Wexler, of South Florida is within our locality. I suggest that all South Florida FReepers begin delivering WHITE flags and feathers to his office!

About 40 years ago the Democrats were as deadly to America as the communists we opposed. They have been a fifth column in our country since the sixties. I know, I saw the "new Democratic" party blossom in Chicago in 68. They have been in support our enemies ever since. It is really wonderful that the folks are waking up to them. I pray for it frequently.:)

In special reports, the major television networks - ABC, CBS, and NBC - stated this morning in a joint communique:

"Following the Senate's vote earlier this week of essentially no confidence in the President, the House of Representatives last night reversed that by giving President Bush a resounding victory, with a near unanimous vote to stay the course in Iraq. In other news..."

Not!
