"Our troops have become the enemy. We need to change direction in Iraq," said Rep. John Murtha of Pennsylvania, a Democratic hawk whose call a day earlier for pulling out troops sparked a nasty, personal debate over the war.
Did Murtha actually say those exact words.
from everything I've read - yes
what an a**hat!!!
If Murtha is a "Democratic hawk," there's no significant difference between an American Democrat and a French politician.
What an asinine thing to say. OF COURSE ARE TROOPS ARE THE ENEMY OF THE TERRORIST!! That is exactly the way WE WANT IT!
In an earlier interview Murtha the Mouth said terrorism started when we went into Iraq. He clearly believes our troops are instruments of great evil.
Now can I question his patriotism?
Murtha, God bless his service in prior years; but he has done a great disservice to his nation, his troops, and the principles of Semper Fi. His comments have aided and abetted the terrorists - our enemy!
The Democrats are the party of CUT and RUN, we are the party of Victory......AND THAT IS EXACTLY THE WAY WE WANT IT!!!
Maybe in the past, but he's a traitor now.
If those are the words of a "Democratic Hawk"....what words does it take to be a Democratic Chicken Hawk?
The loss of nerve, the loss of a will to fight, is a pitiful thing to see happen to a once proud man.
You have my permission.
Murtha's just the latest in the Parade of Yay-Hoos the Dems have spent some three years trotting out to sour Americans on the war and thereby "get even" with President Bush. He has served his purpose, and since he is yet another failure, will be quickly tossed aside by his handlers.
He's "a hero" only in the John Kerry sense of the term.
I don't watch the news much latley, because I get pissed off when I hear those idiots. Hopefully Friday's vote is a turnaround for congress.
Well, he has given whoever his opponents next election are plenty of material to work with. No need to dig up old dirt when you have new quotes like that beauty.
You gotta give him this. We all know darn well half the democrats believe it. He just has the guts to say what he is. It's disgusting, but at least he's honest.
king traitor!
