Why hasn't Novak released the name of his source? Wasn't he going to do that after the expiration of the Grand Jury at the end of October? It seems strange that the man who started this mess can avoid being held accountable when everyone else is.

Of course... it's ALWAYS Bush! It's been Bush's fault since he was 'selected' in 2000... and rigged the results in 2004. Bush lied... people died.

If there ever is a CW2... let it begin in the offices of our traitorous, MSM!

It was not a criminal act, though.

But that doesn't matter to them. Notice that I phrased my comment as what they have built up as a criminal act? They've set their meme and invented their version of the "facts" as they want them to be perceived and any evidence to the contrary is simply ignored.

I'm beginning to think that there is a big opportunity for some good writer (not an identified partisan) to do an in depth analysis of the complete and utter failure of the mass media in the modern world. They say that news is the first draft of history, yet the news over the last several decades has been demonstrably fake.

Ann Coulter did some very good work along these lines in Treason but she obviously would be dismissed as a partisan very quickly. (note, mandatory AC image attempted below)

I think I'll start collecting specific examples of "false history in pursuit of partisanship" as practiced by the MSM and Hollywierd. Who knows, I might get the basic research to a point that I can interest an appropriate figure to take up the cause.

I guess the AP is telling the moonbats to stand down.

But I thought Woodward specifically said "former" administration official.

"The Rats must be crying. This ain't good news for them They wanted Cheney and Rove out of the WH. And it ain't gonna happen."

I read an article to that effect but I don't really get it - how does another "leak" one month before Libby clear Rove? Especially since Fitzgerald is apparently empaneling a new grand jury....

A jury that most likely isn't going anywhere.

Perhaps you missed reading Ted Well's -Libby's attorney- statement:

Woodward's disclosures are a bombshell to Mr. Fitzgerald's case. First, the disclosure shows that Mr. Fitzgerald's statement at his press conference of October 28, 2005 that Mr. Libby was the first government official to tell a reporter about Mr. Wilson's wife was totally inaccurate. Second, Woodward's disclosure that he talked to Mr. Libby on June 20 and June 27, 2003 and that Mr. Libby did not mention Wilson's wife undermines Mr. Fitzgerald's key theme that Mr. Libby was involved in a scheme to discredit Wilson by telling reporters about Wilson's wife's employment at the CIA. Hopefully as more information is obtained from reporters like Bob Woodward, the real facts will come out.

(Scroll down to mid-page) link

Woodward's testimony puts a dent on the prosecutor's case that Libby “was the 'first official known' at that time to have provided such information to a reporter” since Woodward has testified that the information was given to him in a “nonchalant and casual way, NOT as if it was classified,” thus corroborating Libby's accounts.

Woodward testified Monday that contrary to Special Counsel Patrick J. Fitzgerald's public statements, a senior government official -- not Libby -- was the first Bush administration official to tell a reporter about Plame and her role at the CIA. Woodward also said that Libby never mentioned Plame in conversations they had on June 23 and June 27, 2003, about the Iraq war, a time when the indictment alleges Libby was eagerly passing information about Plame to reporters and colleagues. And we know she told her current husband who was married to someone else at the time between the sheets after a couple dates. In my mind, that's not the best way to remain covert.
