Hmm, the only problems i had with getting the VA license was on their website they said it costs 7(?) bucks a year for a license and fail to mention that you have to at least get a 5(?) year license. So after an hour of waiting in line I let them know I wanted a one year license at 7 bucks. They laughed at me and I told them I was going to bill them for the hour of my life they wasted, and I would wait until my Texas license expired. Long story short (too late!) i had to bend over and get a VA one so i could vote in the last presidential election.

I don't remember what I paid for my license, but it doesn't expire until 2010 and it was issued in 2003.

It was just a royal hassle, because I must have made 3 different trips and it's 25 miles away. Even my husband had to go back a second time because he is a "Jr" and they demanded his birth certificate.....fortunately we had an official copy and we didn't have to wait to get a copy from the state of birth.
