Curfew fails to stop French riot (Scorecard du jour)
BBC UK ^ | 13 Nov 2005 | BBC News

Posted on 11/13/2005 6:05:57 AM PST by timsbella

Police in the French city of Lyon have used teargas to disperse youths throwing stones and attacking cars, the first rioting in a major city centre.

The unrest, which followed more than two weeks of violence in France's poor suburbs, occurred hours before a curfew for minors came into force in Lyon.

In Paris, a ban on public meetings has ended, with no reports of unrest.

Police overnight said the situation across France was "much calmer" than on previous nights.

More than 370 cars were burned overnight, down from 502 the previous night. A further 212 people were arrested.

Thousands of extra police deployed and lo, they were down on the charred cars last night.

(If anyone is getting fatigued with my daily scorecard, please let me know.)

"More than 370 cars were burned overnight, down from 502 the previous night. A further 212 people were arrested."

People are probably just protecting their cars better.

According to the BBC we're at 7602 since they started counting. Others have privately let me know it's about twenty percent more.

Curfew fails to stop French riot (Scorecard du jour)

They need to pass a law against rioting. That should take care of the problem.

Has it been plotted? I would also like to know if anyone has encountered the numbers prior to the most recent outbreak. I had read several articles indicating that cars burned very frequently prior this latest unpleasantness.

Fatigued from the Muslim-French-fried-car count?

No, no.

(Where's the graph?)

......
Similarly, there is the apd, (additional police deployed).

The vbn is inversely proportional to the apd until the apd becomes maxed out.

The cumulative vbn and apd are being withheld as is the accumulated cost of each.

This has been a busy week for Islamics. The liberal media has tried
to blame
the riots in France and now Belgium and Germany on high
unemployment and
lack of jobs rather than admitting it was Muslims sensing a chance
to tear
something apart and shoot at police. This was a chance for Islam
to test the
system and the government it hates. It also exposed western
Europes dirty
little secret.
The dirty little secret is that most western European countries,
have
zones. These zones are Muslim neighborhoods and the
police and
firefighters do not enter these neighborhoods unless they absolutely
must do
so. These zones belong to Islam, and all non-believers
enter at their own
risk. Non-Muslims on the fringes of these Islamic zone suffer
violent
attacks from roving bands of Muslim men and boys patrolling
their territory.
The outrage is that this behavior has been allowed. Europe is just
beginning to pay the price for hoping its Islamic problem would
just go away if
Muslims were just left alone. They stayed in these zones and multiplied like rats.

Fox and Friends reported this morning that the 302 vbn was back to normal Saturday night level. I didn't believe the report and the reporter even seemed sceptical.

The burnings were almost down to 200 a few days ago. Yesterday was a severe setback, and today is only marginally better. So, burned-vehicles-per-day is not clearly dropping as yet.

And....

http://news.telegraph.co.uk/news/main.jhtml?xml=/news/2005/11/13/wfran13.xml

"...Officers at the forefront of attempts to control the wave of riots and arson attacks across France are furious at moves to prosecute policemen accused of assaulting a youth...Police officers, who have been targeted with stones, missiles and Molotov cocktails since the trouble broke out, said they were "stupefied" by the action taken against their colleagues ...The French interior ministry said the victim had suffered cuts to his face and right foot, but had been declared fit for work...."

Fit for work? Not much of a beating, I would say.

People are probably just protecting their cars better.

Could it be they are finding out their insurance does not cover riot damage?

I don't know, but would guess the insurance companies don't want people to use the cover of a riot to torch their own cars.

"They need to pass a law against rioting. That should take care of the problem."

A law against rioting ? Impossible ! In France riots are the news "revolutionnaires", the return of May 68, the poor vs richs, marxism vs liberalism, et cetera...in fact, France is the last Communist country in Europe.
That's whow it's work where i live.
Don't do the same errors, don't let lefters control all ours medias and education.

Sorry for my english.
And how post a picture here ? [img][/img] didn't work.

Nah.

Count is lower because they are rapidly running out of un-burned cars in the Muslim districts.

(Stupid rioters didn't realize that you can't jump into a burned-out car to leave the neighborhood and attack other places... Now, they are trapped without transporation in their own neighborhoods. With no more cars to French-fry.)
