ABC's presidential drama dips to lowest rating
On election night, TV viewers were not nearly as interested in fake politics.
ABCs presidential drama Commander-in-Chief averaged a series-low 3.7 overnight rating among viewers 18-49 last night.
Thats down 16 percent versus the 4.4 overnight rating the show had averaged through the first six episodes.
The problem seems to be the return of Foxs House after a baseball furlough during which the ABC show blossomed. With House now back, viewers who had been watching other things in the 9 p.m. timeslot are migrating back to Fox.
House averaged a 5.3 overnight rating among 18-49s last night in the 9 p.m. timeslot head-to-head with Commander. Commanders three lowest-rated episodes of the season came while airing against original episodes of House.
Commander earned a 4.3 overnight rating for its premiere episode on Sept. 27, the same night Fox aired its last original House before giving way to baseball playoffs and a surge for Commander.
House returned to the schedule last week and Commander delivered a 3.9 overnight rating among 18-49s, its previous season low before last nights 3.7.
Of course it's also possible that after watching endless local election coverage, viewers just weren't in the mood for political entertainment.
So I guess all that talk about Commander being a resounding success were a bit, say, misleading. I suppose a lot of women were watching it rather than watching baseball.
I figured this would happen. Fox has a wildly poular show "House". Fox pulled the show all October in order to show the baseball playoffs and World series. As soon as House was back CIC takes a hit.
Geena Davis is deeply saddened.
Gee...that's too bad.
It looks as if the producers of "House" had better watch their backs. Hillary can't afford to let her show slide.
(Denny Crane: "I Don't Want To Socialize With A Pinko Liberal Democrat Commie.Say What You Like About Republicans. We Stick To Our Convictions. Even When We Know We're Dead Wrong.")
ABC should lay quietly while we strap them down. Their "Hillary-in-Chief" political fantasy is about to receive a lethal injection from Dr. House.
How's "My Name is Earl" doing?
I don't watch either, instead I watch Sunday Night Football :)
My wife watched it the first night it was aired. She said it reeked. I don't think she plans to watch it again.
a funny show - I love it. The Office, which follows it, is even better.
My guess is that the beeoch promo show could get Wuss Matthews numbers and it will stay on the air until the election of hillary.
GOOD...HOPE IT TANKS!!!
PING!
>>"Chick-in-Chief"<<
Look out she'll give you Avian.
Another story of the press trying to remake the news in the way they wish it was. The Pre-Presidency test market of Hill the First seems to overlook the fact that most people don't care what she thinks.
