It has been more than two years since news first broke that Rush Limbaugh had an addiction to painkillers.

That news led to a criminal investigation of Limbaugh by Palm Beach County State Attorney Barry Krischer, who in December 2003 leaked to the media that his office had uncovered evidence of 10 felony counts, including "doctor shopping," money laundering and drug trafficking. Despite the sensational allegations, no charges have been brought.

Worse, in the latest round between the State Attorney's office and Limbaugh, Assistant State Attorney James Martz made a startling admission in open court on Tuesday as he sought a court order allowing his office to interview Rush's doctors.

I think it's fairly obvious what's going on here, and it isn't Rush that's been doing the "shopping."

It's time statutes were created to reign in overzealous, politically motivated, taxpayer fund wasting prosecutors.

"Got caught using illegal drugs"

The drugs Rush got were 'legal'. Prescriptions by his doctors.

What this investigation has accomplished, is to tarnish Rush and destroy the law enforcement department's credibility.

Now there's a two-fer. Nice going boys...

Not!

It appears that the left is on a witch hunt for anyone who disagrees with their view. Differing political views are not illegal (yet) and the left is trying to make anyone who stands up a criminal. These actions will continue until the electorate is fed up with making differing political views a crime and puts a stop to these witch hunts.

That news led to a criminal investigation of Limbaugh by Palm Beach County State Attorney Barry Krischer, who suffers from Ronnie Earle syndrome and is resisting efforts to put him back on his meds.

I worry about Rush lately -- he's far more than a "harmless little fuzzball" and I don't know what lengths someone might go to to get him off the air.

i know. it came to me right after I posted. sometimes we relish inthe plight of our enemies, and then the same thing happens to us.

then we realize what a nasty precedent it really is.

...Black refused to say how much money Limbaugh paid Wilma and David Cline before they allegedly snitched on him to the cops. But Black said Wilma Cline told authorities about Limbaugh's habit after she demanded a $4 million payoff from him...

...Prosecutors said they need to review the records to determine how Limbaugh went about obtaining more than 2,000 painkillers from four different doctors.... - NY Daily News

---

...Cline told the Enquirer she went to prosecutors with information about Limbaugh and others after four years of drug deals that included clandestine handoffs in a Denny's parking lot.

She said she wore a wire during her last two deliveries to the conservative commentator and gave the tapes to authorities.

She also gave the Enquirer a ledger documenting how many pills she claimed to have bought for him - 4,350 in one 47-day period - and E-mails she claimed Limbaugh sent her... - NY Post

---

...Rush Limbaugh confessed and admitted that he bought the pills. ... I know of no facts that my clients demanded money from Rush Limbaugh in any way," he said.

Limbaugh allegedly withdrew cash 30 to 40 times at amounts just under the $10,000 limit that requires a bank to report the transaction to the federal government.

The action drew suspicion because it can be a federal crime to structure financial transactions below the $10,000 limit. -AP

Even Rush acknowledges it...

And yet not a single charge has come out from those accusations.

So if these people were telling the truth, then where are the indictments?

"King Pharmaceuticals has obtained the rights to an abuse-resistant version of the widely used painkiller OxyContin"

Poor Rush, only 3 years and 2 ears too late

The Loony Left can't shut Rush down, he's to popular and there would be the biggest outcry this Nation has ever witnessed, so they are doing it like with Scooter Libby, the next person is going to be Hannity...watch and see...

At one time Florida was literally owned by the Democrats. Things have changed and a few of the old has-beens can't get over it.

"Things have changed and a few of the old has-beens can't get over it."

And they never will.

They're still griping about the 2000 and 2004 elections.

Maybe you should get some of those pills.

If the pills are the cause of his political views-- the usual implication by those crowing loudest, then it sounds like you could use a dose.
