Security around the home of a Dutch member of Parliament threatened my Muslim extremists has angered her neighbors to the point of a court challenge. Citing "unbearable disruptions," Amsterdam neighbors of Ayaan Hirsi Ali filed the suit, which will be heard by a court in The Hague on Nov. 25, the newspaper Algemeen Dagblad said Thursday. Somali-born Hirsi Ali has received numerous death threats after she worked with filmmaker Theo van Gogh on the short film, "Submission," which was critical of how women are treated in Islamic societies. Van Gogh was slain Nov. 2, 2004. Her neighbors, however, say they are fed up with the noise of the armored car she is chauffeured in, squealing tires at all hours, constantly idling engines, and the large number of security cameras in the residential area.

You would think that they would welcome increased security that they don't have to pay for!
"neighbors, say they are fed up with the noise of the armored car she is chauffeured in, squealing tires at all hours, constantly idling engines, and the large number of security cameras in the residential area."
Do you think they'd prefer the warm glow of a car fire fanned by the smiling faces of an armed Muslin contingent of thugs? just asking.
I remember what happened to van Gogh. Apparently, he was out riding his bicycle and was shot in broad daylight. The Islamic nutjob who did it even left a note on the body explaining why he did it. Van Gogh had directed a film about the poor treatment of women by Muslims. At the creep's trial, he bragged about the killing to van Gogh's mother. The crowning detail on this story is that the perp will not get the death penalty, and-get this-he won't get his rights to vote in elections or run for office revoked. Apparently being someone who murders others in broad daylight isn't enough to disqualify you for such privileges in Holland. Knock on wood, he'll be in jail for the rest of his life.
Frankly, have to sympathize with the politician on this one. Would I find it annoying to have this stuff going on next door? You bet. Would I find it more "annoying" to have my next-door neighbor murdered? Again, you bet.
