How about acting to prevent Moslem riots first?

If only there really was "an anti-Muslim backlash" with real guns and live ammo. Europe should be so lucky.

revenge attacks against Moslems.

Whatever for? All the mainstream press accounts I've read said the riots involved "youths."

No, you EUro dhimmi idiot, Muslims should ask themselves "why do they hate us," examine the "root causes" and then change their oppressive and humiliating polices towards the non-Muslims.

"anti-Moslem backlash"?

What form would that take in France, I wonder? Probably nothing more than a little more snootiness.

A backlash. Yeah, that's the first thing I'd be concerned about watching thousands of cars being torched in nightly rioting.

The biggest problem coming out of the Muslim riots is the possibility of anti-Muslim backlash. Wow. That leaves me almost speechless (nothing renders me completely speechless). An epiphany for the EU and they don't even know it. Of course, those are the very best kind of epiphanies.

But that is just me enjoying idiots revealing themselves as such and there is some pleasure in that. The human side of this is tragic. There are a lot of fine people living on the continent. My heart goes out to them for the suffering they and their children will endure over the next twenty years as Islam rears it's ugly head over Europe and the leadership there frantically tries to pretend it isn't ugly.

The entire liberal mindset can be summed up in one sentence:

'By publicly making clear that racism is unacceptable, political leadership can decisively reduce xenophobia

Thats right, what's needed is more talk. The problem is nothing more than the French do not understand that racism is unacceptable. I can see it now:

Pierre le Racist, sitting in a cafe, hears President Chirac say on the TV "Racism is unacceptable".
Pierre smacks his forhead, causing his beret to fly off, and says "It is? I did not know that! Thank you for clearing that up Mr. President!"
He then goes on to convince two people, who convince two more etc...until racism is wiped out of France forever.
All courtesy of the French President "making it clear" that racism is unacceptable.

Lets be more realistic. Chirac, de Villepin et al. can talk until they are blue in the face and it will change nothing. The French are effette (sp?) snobs. They always have been, they always will be. They think the muslim minority is below them and treat them as such. There is nothing the government can do to change this short of Clockwork Orange type mind control.

The writer here is a classic communist/socialist/lib who believe government is the answer to every problem. That is their biggest failing and biggest blind spot. In their minds there is no problem that cannot be solved with more government.

It's nice to know that nothing has changed over there. Two weeks of riots and their answer is to throw money and bigger government at the problem.

Good work, France. Keep it up!

'We must move away from tolerance to respect for other cultures and religions,' Winkler said, urging E.U. governments to step up efforts to integrate minorities into society.

I see that his car hasn't been set on fire....yet.

When are Europeans going to hit back? You can't keep giving the schoolyard bully your lunch money forever. Sheesh : (

Preemptive apologies for non-existent revenge attacks. Damn, they're good.

"...urging E.U. governments to step up efforts to integrate minorities into society. "

They don't want to be integrated into our society. They wish to convert us. They seek to take over that which they didn't build and can't maintain. Talk with India about trying to integrate the muslims into their country. I wonder how long until France surrenders one of it's territories to the Muslims, in order to make peace.

It's not racism. It's a religious war! Not all arabs are Muslims.
