HJTA's Ballot Recommendations
For the November 8 Special Election
HJTA recommends a YES vote on the following measures that appear on the November 8 special election ballot:
Prop. 74 -- Extends length of evaluation for period before public school teaches are given permanent status.
Prop. 75 -- Provides paycheck protection for public union workers by requiring employee consent before their dues can be used for political contributions.
Prop. 76 -- The Live Within Our Means Act would slow down increases in state spending.
Prop. 77 -- Reapportionment; would bar politicians from drawing lines that guarantee their re-election.
HJTA recommends a vote of NO on Prop. 80 -- it locks in monopoly control of electricity by the bureaucratized utilities and forbids consumers from being able to shop around for the lowest-priced electricity available.
HJTA also urges a vote of NO on all local bonds that do not require a two-thirds vote for passage.
Here are there recommendations.
Remember, vote tomorrow.
As I pointed out on other threads, on one side we have the Howard Jarvis Taxpayers Association, Chambers of Commerce, businesses, Club for Growth, Republicans, conservatives, and on the other side we have the Democrats and the unions.

I've reviewed that. Thanks.
I hope enough people will come out and vote, or already voted absentee, to counteract the unions.
Did you see the article about the nerve of the unions to collect additional dues to fight Prop 75 and 76 and the nerve of the judge to rule that this is OK?
Yes, I did see it.
Don't let the Arnold bashers see this.
They've been campaigning hard against these measures.
Next thing we know, they'll be Howard Jarvis Taxpayers Association liberals, RINOs, and "Hollyweird idiots" too.

Then lets make it interesting and invite the usual suspects...
Nitey night and sleep tight! Don't let the doubt inducing bed-bugs bite!!!
I can see you have your place of honor reserved at the Dem and Union party, ready to celebrate the demise of CA.
Well, it's not over til it's over.
No! Actually, I'll be right here, celebrating the return of actual conservatism returning to this site by the traditional CA membership of FR!!! What a relief that will be after all the "New Majority" spamming that has flooded the site in the past two and a half years!!!
How is it a conservative victory, if the Dems and Unions win?
No! Actually, I'll be right here, celebrating the return of actual conservatism returning to this site by the traditional CA membership of FR!!!
Yeah, that and a dime will get you a cup of coffee, and the continuation of the totally liberal state that you now have, in spite of you "actual conservatives". Hope Arnie somehow pulls this off, or CA is doomed.
Your too confused to communicate with, sorry!
You are the one voting with the Democrats and I am the one who is confused?!
Oh, right, the "traditional" CA conservatives who are used to being far outside of power...
