Massive Voter Fraud in Detroit
Macomb Daily ^ | 11/7/05 | Mikey_1962

There's no better example of that apathy or appeasement in Detroit politics than in the apparent acceptance of city Clerk Jackie Currie's continued antics.

Currie has spent a lot of time in court these days defending an out-of-control city election system ripe for abuse and corruption. In recent days we've learned that Currie employs a group of 50 "ambassadors" who round up between 4,500 and 8,000 absentee ballots -- and apparently break a variety of state election laws in the process.

According to media reports, Currie's assistants have secured absentee ballots from mentally incapacitated people who have no idea who's in the running. The degree of ballot assistance they supply to the sick and elderly has raised such concerns for a Wayne County circuit judge that she ordered monitors to oversee Tuesday's vote counting.

One City Council candidate who lost in the August primary has filed a lawsuit claiming Currie rigged the vote. Circuit Judge Mary Beth Kelly believes she has a good case. A recount could not be conducted after the August primary because 40 of the 106 ballot boxes had broken seals or missing ballots.

There is list of registered voters maintained by Currie. That roster includes the names of more 300,000 dead people and former voters who have moved away. The absentee ballots were mailed from addresses of homes or residential buildings that were closed or demolished years ago.

Let's see, Detroit is probably an overwhelmingly republican city as a result of this massive vote fraud, right?

This kind of thing is going on in every major democrat run city. It has for years.

Without it they would not nearly be as powerful locally OR nationally.

They think it is funny.

It is also why the democrat hacks claim that there is Republican fraud -- they know it will divert attention away from what they are up to on a regular basis.

Yet none of this seems to register in the land of low expectations. Virtually no one in Detroit expects Currie to lose Tuesday, even if her opponent is promising to clean house.

Dems cheating to win doesn't bring in the national "investigavive reporters" either -- the MSM doesn't care if their guys cheat to win. Really sick.

Sorry for repeatedly posting this but it shouldn't be forgotten.

"Craziest thing I've ever seen," said one poll watcher. "They had 100 tables and just five poll watchers trying to monitor them. Every table had a pile of empty ballots. If the machine rejected a ballot, the workers would just take a fresh ballot, fill it in the way they thought the voter wanted (Detroit voted heavily for Kerry), and then put THAT ballot through the machine." The poll watcher also reported unsigned ballots being counted in the machines, a violation of absentee procedures.

My vote is becoming more and more worthless. The Feds should be able to disallow any states vote deemed and proved to be wracked with fraud. (Illinois, Washington, Michigan, Pennsylvania, etc.) Instead of the police trying to get the Johns paying the street gals, they should be setting up voter stings and then charging the violators with the crime. We need a leadership with balls.

The right to vote, and the right to have your vote count no more or no less than every other legally cast ballot is fundamental to the survival of our nation.

Tampering with even a single vote is both TREASON and SEDITION. The minimum penalty should be life in prison without possibility of parole; to permanently remove the offender from the society he attempted to destroy.

Absolutely agree. That's one of the reasons I'd personally love to see the Democrats get their wish for UN monitors at our next election. It'd backfire on them so badly that they wouldn't recover for years.

I don't doubt that voter fraud happens on both sides of the aisle, but I doubt that it's institutionalized on our side. Both parties, for once, have to put principle above party and crack down on vote fraud WHEREVER it occurs.

The Constitutional option in this case is for the Congress to take away congressional representation from the states to that fail to make sure the right to vote is maintained. Do we have a Congress willing to look into this? hahahahahaha. They do not even maintain the borders much less protecting our right to vote. If the US were on the outside looking in to this country's political corruption, the US would be considering ways to overthrow the government.

Ohio did a good job preventing the absentee dead from voting. The GOP sent out mailings to all of them, and when the address came back as "no one living there under that name" they were added to a list and the list was taken to the board of elections.
