I thaught Russians would wait with such a move until the Baltic pipeline is completed.

But they must be really impatient.
Or pissed off with the Polish election results, so they want to show the new Polish government where Poland's place in the line is.

Russia raises gas prices for many countries, not Poland only: Russia Rethinks Its CIS Policy

There are both political and economical reasons. 1) Politics of many energy-dependent countries are obviously Russian-unfriendly. 2) Oil prices grow. Gas prices are based on oil prices so they must grow too.

I think gas contracts are constructed so that they let re-negotiate gas prices. For example, Turkmenistan also raises gas prices for Russia.
