Wow. You are very aggressive and defensive about that statement.

I agreed that Blacks had something to be proud of. I did not imply or say that this was a negative to Whites in any way.

Does one negate the other?

I'm for giving credit where credit is due to both sides. I do take a stand on this issue due to what I have observed in our schools.

One of my relatives graduated the sixth grade. I was invited to attend a little ceremony. At that ceremony was a mural that was about 18 inches high and 6 feet wide.

On the mural was a drawing of George Washington, Martin Luther King and Rosa Parks. George Washington was shown sitting on his horse about 12 inches tall. Rosa Parks was shown with her face alone about 12 inches tall. Martin Luther King was shown so big that only part of his forehead and part of his chin fit on the 18" sheet.

There is a clear effort in this nation to minimize what our founding fathers did for all future U.S. citizens. In their place people like King and Parks are being canonized as the real heroes of our nation.

I object to that in no uncertain terms. When I observe someone make comments like those you did, I want to draw attention to the actual facts of our national heritage. King and Parks deserve credit where credit is due, and in a proper relationship with our founding fathers.

This nation was set up in a brilliant manor. I do not want that lost on anyone.
