Advertising? If only the pets are listening and they don't speak English or have any money of their own, nor transportation to the store, who would bother advertising to them?

Well unless Kitty or Fido has learned to turn on the radio, mom/dad is listening at times and would hear all those ads for dog/cat foods, the latest and greates in doggie/cat toys, gear, vacations...yada, yada, yada

Gidget is the only dog I've ever had that paid it any attention.... and she's obsessive about it, watching for hours if there's good dog action :~D

My cat watches TV. Meerkats are his favorite.

Last night Coast played a clip of the mouse mating song. The dog found it fascinating.

Gidget loves most shows on Animal Planet, but especially Americas Funniest Pets and Crocodile Hunter...
She also loves parts of the Lord of the Rings Movies, One of the Harry Potter Movies, the Amazing Journey movie with the two dogs and the cat that find their way home, and Babe. :~D
Oh - and the commercial for Pierre Money Mart. :~D

I leave conservative talk radio on during the day for my Scruffy (dog) and Breezy. At night my kitten (Breezy) likes to go up to the TV and pat the screen.

Well, I am awaiting word from the shelter that "Max", a 2-yr old Boxer, is ready for pickup so I be mooched out of that last piece of chicken breast the next time I go to Pollo Loco.
This is cool. Arf.

My one cat Peaches loves Pavarotti. Actually, both cats like anything classical.

My old bulldog would go nuts every time the 'dog barking in the background' sound effect was used. You have no idea how often that is used on TV. Also, every time someone goes into the Kwicky Mart on The Simpsons there's a ping. Back in the day that would instantly start a fight between the bulldog and the JRT.

Same here. Any animal noises attract my dogs attention.
They love roosters crowing or ducks quacking.
