Los Angeles -- Former Gov. Gray Davis is adding teacher to his resume as he joins the University of California, Los Angeles as a distinguished policy fellow.

Davis, who is also an attorney, will serve as a guest lecturer in classes, participate in panels, and generally serve as a resource for faculty and students on issues involving California state politics at UCLA's School of Public Affairs, department spokesman Stan Paul said Thursday.

Former state senate minority leader Jim Brulte also was appointed as a policy fellow.

Together they provide a complementary perspective. Davis is a Democrat, and Brulte is a Republican.

"Davis and I will be able to bring to students two different points of view on a very tumultuous period of California history," Brulte told the school's newspaper, the Daily Bruin.

I'd love to see it when a student asks a question and Davis has to answer, "I don't recall."

Proof of two things:

The universities are staffed with idiots...

...and there's always a job for a politician who stayed bought.

LOL.

I'm curious. Is a failing grade good or bad? Some student should sit near the back and flip the lights off and say, not ANOTHER power outage.

Does this class fall under cruel and unusual punishment?

I don't think the majority of voters who kicked Davis off the state payroll two years ago will be excited by the news that he's back on.

I love it! Is he going to do a lecture about ethics in government?

What could this moron possibly bring to the Education table? His cronies/appointees must be on the staffing committee.

Our universities have become a laundering operation for government monies, funneling funds to some of the worst leftists known to man. Get a real job Davis, break a sweat once or twice a year, like the rest of us do every day.

Agree but the students could just read FR and avoid the tuition and wasted credits. He's peddling hot air and making the students pay to inhale it.
