Brown is good and fine, and I'd be pleased for sure. But if it didn't "have to be" a woman I'd prefer Luttig.
Hopefully Dubya is saving him for when Stevens goes (He is 83 and can't last forever).

Bush needs to turn things around and if he can force the Dems back into the filibuster corner it'll be great. Of course then it'll be up to those "moderate" GOP senators.
