My mom was born a couple years before the outbreak.

I wonder what family history was passed to her about the Spanish Flu?

She and her mother and her older sister had the flu. Her father nursed them, as there were no nurses available. I claim that my immunity from all flus in my lifetime is from the antibodies I got from her.

I have a theory about immunity and the time span between serious flu pandemics that takes this relationship of survivors > immune: their children (who are breastfed) > their grandchildren (minimal to no immunity) > next pandemic.
