Yet the headline ways the WSs were rioting!

You must carefully parse the compressed English we used in the headline; we meant it to mean "it was a riot by peaceful homies, outraged by the existence of white supremacists".
In other words, it was a riot about, not by, white supremacists. We are very sorry for any possible confussion, though we are mystified that anyone could honestly misconstrue the meaning so badly.
Are you sure you do not have a suspoect, perhaps racist agenda?
